About This Spot

Le Petit Baiona sits quietly tucked into the charming 11th arrondissement, where Rue de Charonne hums with Parisian everyday life. Step inside and you’re met with a warm, inviting buzz — a pace that feels unhurried but alive, as if the space itself encourages you to settle in and savor the moment. Soft lighting, rustic wooden tables, and a casual yet polished vibe create a setting that effortlessly blends French ease with a touch of Basque soul.

There’s a genuine feeling of conviviality in the air here, whether you come solo for a quiet drink or arrive with friends looking to share bites and stories. The menu whispers hints of the region through its comforting, thoughtfully prepared dishes — from tender duck confit and smoky Basque flavors to perfectly grilled octopus and generous boards of cheeses and charcuterie. It’s the kind of place where you watch a glass of wine or a craft beer catch the light, and your food invites gentle conversation rather than rush.

At Le Petit Baiona, the service complements the atmosphere with a quietly attentive presence. Staff move with ease, offering subtle guidance that makes unfamiliar dishes feel accessible, all without overshadowing the relaxed charm of the place. The crowd feels like a mosaic of locals and curious visitors who appreciate the simple joy of good food paired with good company, finding comfort here in both the flavors and the friendly energy.

Whether you’re slipping in for an early evening aperitif, lingering over a meal with a cocktail, or grabbing late-night bites, Le Petit Baiona holds a kind of understated appeal — one that invites you to slow down, discover, and return again to that slice of lively, lived-in Paris.

Stopped by here quickly for a drink and fries. Friendly staff, nice ambiance and happy hours. Had a perfect evening by myself.

The grilled octopus was on point; the cheese charcuterie was delicious, too. I recommend this place for dinner or just a quick bite or just a glass of wine.

We came upon this restaurant, after another was too crowded. What luck! The food was amazing. I didn’t take a picture of the mixed charcuterie, but it was wonderful, as were our meals. The service was excellent! Helpful, kind and explained some dishes. Even the crowd was fun. Great value for food and a bottle of wine. Great experience!

We spent an evening here drinking beer and martini, both were well made. The staff are not so friendly TBH specially the bartender, and service was not the best, even though we were there during the weekday

Super food and staff! Nice tapas / small plate options.

We stumbled upon this place and gave it a try. We were absolutely positively surprised. We loved it very much! Not only the food was great, but the staff as well. We went there on our first night in Paris and came back on our last night in Paris. Would definitely recommend!
